Base Molding Nero Marquina Honed

This base molding is a natural stone trim piece designed for floor-to-wall transitions in interior architectural applications. Fabricated with a consistent profile and honed finish, it delivers both functional edge protection and a clean termination point between horizontal and vertical surfaces. Its smooth texture and refined surface treatment allow for seamless integration with stone flooring installations in both residential and commercial settings.

The molding is typically used in spaces such as bathrooms, corridors, and reception areas where a cohesive finish is desired between floors and adjoining walls. Its calibrated dimensions align with standard stone tile sizes, allowing for consistent grout spacing and proper fit along perimeters. Being a natural stone product, the molding will display organic variation in veining, texture, and tone—features that contribute to a more dimensional and less uniform appearance.

Sealing is recommended after installation to reduce surface porosity and protect against moisture intrusion and staining, especially in wet or high-traffic zones. Routine maintenance involves the use of pH-neutral, non-abrasive cleaners that are safe for use on natural stone materials. Installation should follow standard stone-setting practices to ensure proper adhesion and long-term performance.

This trim piece supports architectural detailing where durable, natural material continuity is required.
