The 60-second pie fight occurred at 6 p.m. on January 7, 2010, in a tent adjacent to the Embassy Suites. After the pie fight was completed, Shaw was able to clean the pie-covered carpet and display the like-new results on January 8 in the lobby of the Embassy Suites. In connection with the pie fight, Shaw planned to make a monetary donation to the Tarant Area Food Bank, a local affiliate of Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic-relief hunger charity.
