California Gold 12″ x 12″ Gauged

alifornia Gold Gauged is a natural slate tile known for its warm, multi-toned color variation and durable surface. The stone features a blend of golden browns, copper highlights, charcoal greys, and soft green undertones, creating a naturally layered appearance that adds depth and movement to any space. Each tile carries its own mineral patterning, giving installations a distinctive and organic aesthetic.

This product is crafted from dense, long-lasting slate, suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The gauged finish provides a more consistent thickness, helping streamline installation while preserving the stone’s naturally textured, clefted surface. Its matte, slip-resistant character makes it well-suited for areas exposed to moisture or heavy foot traffic.

In tile format, California Gold Gauged works across a wide range of design uses, including floors, walls, backsplashes, mudrooms, shower areas, patios, walkways, and fireplace surrounds. Indoors, the warm and varied tones create visual interest in kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways. Outdoors, the stone withstands changing weather conditions while maintaining its natural richness.

The combination of earthy tones and authentic surface texture allows this slate to complement rustic, transitional, natural, and contemporary designs. When sealed, the colors become more vibrant and the stone’s veining becomes more pronounced, enhancing both contrast and depth.

California Gold Gauged offers a dependable natural stone option with organic variation, a textured gauged finish, and a versatile tile format. Its durability and timeless color palette make it suitable for projects seeking a grounded, long-lasting slate surface with character and warmth.
